Courses in the program

This course is fundamental and is designed to provide students with knowledge of the basic principles of testing. You will learn how testing activities support development activities in different software development models, as well as general testing terminology. The course provides an overview of static and dynamic testing techniques and how to apply them; introduces you to test problem management, including test planning and assessment, risk-based testing and incident management, as well as test tool support, describing many types of tool support, benefits and potential risks of the tools, and effective process for their inclusion in an organization.

Agile testing is a relatively new approach to software testing that follows the principles of software development outlined in the Agile Manifesto. A tester on an Agile project will work differently than a tester on a traditional project. Testers must understand the values and principles that underpin Agile projects and how they are an integral part of the entire team along with developers and business representatives. The Agile Tester Extension course provides software tester with knowledge to be part of Agile testing teams and achieve greater performance.

This course provides an introduction to HTML5 and CSS3. It helps students acquire basic HTML5 and CSS3 programming skills. The material is focused on using HTML5 and CSS3 to implement programming logic, define and use variables, perform looping and branching, develop user interfaces, validate user input, store data and create a well-structured application.

It is crucial to understand and learn C# programming language, as you can later apply this knowledge to automated testing. The material covers the basics of C# program structure, language syntax and object-oriented programming concepts.

After successfully completing the course, you will be able to independently create and run tests with Selenium WebDriver. In this course you will combine and use all acquired knowledge from the previous courses. You will be able to properly apply the principles of automated testing to build an efficient and sustainable automated testing solution by choosing the appropriate automated testing tools. You will be able to implement Selenium WebDriver scripts that run tests for functional testing of a web application.
